CLIENT BRIEF: I want a motorised pontoon for use on Lake Wanaka, South Island of New Zealand. It has to be able to also be used as a floating dock with extendable floating walkway for access to land. PROBLEM SOLVED: A 6.5m long x 2.3m wide x 650mm deep pontoon/boat/walkway fabricated from 12 & 15mm HMWPE. 40mm Vitex decking (sustainable hardwood fron the Solomon Islands) running a 40hp Yamaha 2 stroke with hydraulic steering, electric trim and tilt, electric start and pull start. Walkway extends 5.5mtrs and is a pressure tested compartment. Pontoon has 13 sealed & pressure tested compartments. Max speed of 10 – 12 knots, weight approx 2100kg Custom built pontoon boats, house boats, barges, floating docks, aquaculture jetties.
